White Crane is a Soft-Hard style, placing equal emphasis on internal and external training. Learn to train the body to be soft for smooth Qi circulation and sharp manifestation of Soft Jing (martial power).
This workshop will help students build a foundation for both Soft & Hard White Crane Qigong through breathing techniques, Jing training, and Jing patterns.
Beneficial for practitioners of all styles. Having a basic martial arts background is a plus but not required.
Suitable for students interested in either the health or martial aspects of White Crane.

Traditional Tai Chi Fighting Set: With Jonathan Chang and Michelle Lin
The Taiji Fighting Set (太極散手對練, tài jí sǎn shǒu duì liàn) is a 2-person matching sequence in the YMAA Taiji curriculum. The sequence challenges students to apply the principles and theories learned in pushing hands drills from previous levels.
The class will focus on Part 1. Students will be divided by experience level. Prior knowledge of the Fighting Set is a plus, but not required.

8 Energies of Taijiquan
Explore the concepts and Jing (martial power) patterns of the 8 Energies - Peng, Lu, Ji, An, Cai, Lie, Zhou, and Kao. Examine applications through various partner drills and apply your understanding in solo practice.
Practitioners of all Taijiquan styles are welcome. No prior experience necessary.
This workshop expands on the theory introduced in Dr. Yang’s “13 Postures” seminar. Prior attendance of the seminar is not required.
